A trip to Meryton
We were house-hunting in beautiful Wiltshire this weekend and, although we didn’t find the house of our dreams, we couldn’t resist taking a trip to the National Trust village of Lacock. I’ve been wanting to visit for years as it’s a famous setting for many wonderful TV adaptations including Cranford and one of my personal favourites – the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice when it became the Bennets’ local town of Meryton.
Unfotunately, no Mr Darcys were Christmas shopping that day but I fell under its spell anyway!
Aww it’s so pretty there! I hope you find your dream house soon, but it is fun looking, isn’t it? Hope you, Hubby and Molly have a wonderful Christmas and wishing you all the best for next year. xxx
Thanks, Trish! Yes, I love house-hunting because I’m a very nosy person and love seeing where people live! Looking forward to starting up again in the New Year.
I loved the pics from your visit. I hope someday to visit the U.K. What a beautiful place to live or visit.
