A touch of the Gothic
Last night, I attended a very special book launch to celebrate ‘dark fiction’. Oxford University Press authors Joss Stirling, Rhiannon Lassiter and William Hussey were giving readings from their new spine-chilling books at The House of St Barnabas in Soho (doesn’t that sound like an Edgar Allan Poe title?)
Here I am with the wonderful Joss Stirling, author of Finding Sky:
And here’s William reading from his book Witchfinder: Gallows at Twilight which comes out in January. Notice the enormous spider sitting on his shoulder!
It’s been a busy week as we’ve just come back from a lovely holiday in Guernsey and I promise to put some photos up asap. In the meantime, I’ve just started my new novel – yay! This is the third in my Austen addicts trilogy – Mr Darcy Forever – and I’m very excited about it. I love the start of a new novel – it’s so full of promise and surprise as it could go in so many different directions and I adore getting to know my characters.
